In what is becoming a sign of a new direction at The CW, Deadline reports "The series will conclude with its third season", which happens to be airing right now.

The cancellation of DC’s Stargirl comes less than a month after Nexstar Media Group completed its acquisition of the network and is the latest series coming to an end. It joins the likes of series such as The Flash, Riverdale and Nancy Drew, which are also finishing.

Stargirl is set to end on December 7th (Pearl Harbor Day), one in which fans of the show will say "will live in infamy" to quote FDR.

Stargirl herself Brec Basinger said

“Getting to play Stargirl and be a part of the DC Universe has been the greatest honor, and I am so grateful for every moment of it. I would like to thank our fearless leader Geoff Johns, along with WBTV, The CW, the cast and crew of Stargirl, and of course, the fans. Thank you. This show will forever live in my heart.”

Stargirl and Superman and Lois have been two of the better shows on the CW IMHO because for the most part they have avoided going woke politics, unlike Supergirl with season 4. But as the article indicates...

Historically, shows such as Riverdale, All American, Arrow and Supernatural have focused on viewers in their teens through their 30s. The reality, though, is that the average CW viewer is 58 years old.

More shows could meet their demise just as The Arrowverse will end with the final season of The Flash.

Will Courtney Whitmore return back to HBO Max...or have we seen the last of life in Blue Valley?
