It's been a slow play since the end of season one of Stargirl. Sylvester Pemberton seems to be alive. He's on the hunt for his old sidekick Pat Dugan. We saw Sylvester again in the season 2 opener where he tracked down Mike's mother who was a waitress and seems to have abandoned her son to Pat's sole custody. Geoff Johns has said on several occasions that he loves the slow play in storylines. Giving audiences a bit of the puzzle a piece at a time and allowing them to build up to the pay off! Well, on The Ellen Show, of all places, Joel McHale was a guest and he announced that he's been upgraded to series regular for season 3! So it would seem that Starman or whatever version of him that is seeking out Pat is very alive and will be hanging out in Blue Valley!
Will Sylvester want the staff back? Will the staff decide to choose Courtney over Sylvester? We'll have to wait and see. Also, a bit of a correction should be noted. We've mentioned that Bruce Gordon would be appearing in season 3 of Stargirl. A source close to the show has informed us that we'll be seeing him earlier now in season 2! We've been seeing a young Bruce Gordon aka Eclipso running around Blue Valley but the adult adventurer will make his debut this season!

They only film 13 episodes of Stargirl, unless something changes. Game shows often film back to back episodes. My guess is he can multi-task.
