After a short technical glitch, the Stargirl panel took off. With Amy Smart, Geoff Johns, Brec Bassinger, Yvette Monreal, Cameron Gellman, Anjelika Washington all on the panel they were joined by Lea Thompson (who directed episode 7) and moderated the panel. The cast all wore cute sunglasses to pretend to be Dr. Midnite while we all learned more about the actors and producer. Geoff Johns shared that Barbara was named after his real mom Barbara. Brec Bassinger noted how she was born in May 1999 and that was the year and month that Stargirl debuted.
After getting to know everyone a bit better, we revisted the final fights in the last episode. Cameron told how difficult it was to fight Solomon Grundy. In real life, it was just a big green pickle pillow with a sad face on it. Speaking of Gundy, Geoff took a moment to note that we've not seen the last of him! Expect him to return in season 2! Geoff also gave some hints to season 2, Eclipso reveal is a very big deal for season 2 and we've not seen the last of Hootie the owl!
The cast did take time to thank Geoff Johns for his amaazing writing and even asked him to make a cameo in the next season, but Geoff noted that he is just so happy he gets to work with all of them and everything else is just gravy! We can't wait for more Stargirl now on The CW!
